CS Announcement for the Week of 08/31/2026

- Welcome back! Need help getting settled for the Fall? We will hold virtual drop-in advising every day of schedule adjustment from 1-3pm
- Are there classes on Labor Day? No! Enjoy the upcoming long weekend
- Graduating this Fall? Congratulations! Please remember to submit your graduation application before the end of schedule adjustment (9/14)
- Welcome Back Ice Cream Social today from 1pm-3pm in the Lobby of Iribe!
- Interested in Research? Take CMSC396H!
- Don't forget to have fun! Terps After Dark and NextNow events will be held throughout the coming weeks, make sure you take time to enjoy the activities and make new friends! You can also apply for free tickets at Clarice events starting today. Check the Campus Calendar for upcoming events and exhibitions you might like to attend.
- Check in with yourself! The Counseling Center’s Fall Wellness Series will begin on September 9th witth a session on Successful Study Skills; register here!
- You will receive the Official Welcome Email from your assigned academic advisor by the end of September. This email will include information about the course permission timeline, information about mandatory advising for new students, and information about how returning students should schedule meetings with their advisor.
- Computing Catalyst Sprinternship Applications are open now, with a deadline of September 21st.
- First Look Fair September 10th, 10am-3pm on McKeldin Mall
- Register for the CS Career Fair
- The University Career Fair will be held in person on October 1-2, and virtually October 8
- UCC@CMNS will be hosting Prepare for the Fair events leading up to the fairs, stay tuned!
- Study Abroad Fair September 9th, 2pm-5pm, Stamp Grand Ballroom
- Transfer Terp Mixer September 24, from 3:30-5:30PM in the Iribe Lobby/cantilever. Enjoy games, crafts, and resources!
- Look forward to free CS Terp Yoga starting on Mondays in October. More details to come!
