Advising Updates

CS Announcement for the Week of 5/5/2025

As we approach the end of the semester, please remember that Tuesday, May 13 is the last day to withdraw from all courses with a 0% refund for this semester. More information on the withdrawal process can be found HERE. If you have missed in-person class sessions or have not completed certain assignments in any of your courses, please note that instructors are not obligated to provide make-up opportunities, extensions, or incomplete grades unless your absence qualifies as an excused absence under university policy.

In addition, all excused absences must be supported by appropriate documentation, such as a doctor’s note, court summons, religious calendar, or similar evidence. You can review the university’s official course-related policies, including guidelines on excused absences, HERE.  To be eligible for an incomplete grade, students must also have completed the majority of the work for a course with a passing grade, and incomplete grades are up to the discretion of the instructor. Check in with your instructor with any questions if you believe you meet those eligibility requirements.

Advisors and faculty are required to follow these university policies to ensure fair and equal treatment for all students. If your academic progress has been affected this semester and you believe you may need to adjust your academic plans, we strongly encourage you to meet with your academic advisor as soon as possible to discuss your options.
