Dr. Carey, who holds the positions of Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Drexel University, Associate Clinical Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, and author of "Frame Your Degree: How to Avoid Pain While Seeking a College Degree," will share strategies on how to survive and thrive in a college environment as a student of color. She will give tactics on how to advocate for yourself, financial aid, resume building, grad school admission tips, maximizing internships, and how to gain transferable skills to achieve post-graduate success.
