Congratulations on your admission to the University of Maryland College Park. We hope that you already have all the answers you need to confirm your admission to UMCP and become a member of our family. In the months before your first day of class, plan on attending one of the orientations. (The campus hosts these to answer general questions, but we hold our own scheduled to be adjacent to those dates - this way we can get to know each other, have you spend time with one of our advisors, get placement exams taken care of, register you for classes and more.) Right after the hectic move-in days, the student professional associations will start pestering you to attend one of our “welcome back” social events, the Dean will insist on meeting you over ice cream (another social), and more.
