Subject: New Spring09 course recommended for freshmen and sophomores in Computer Science

The course conveys knowledge about parallelism that (I believe) will become very soon part of the standard curriculum for anybody who incorporates programming in his/her work, or even does not want to fall behind with respect to general knowledge about computer performance.

You may want to be aware of the paradigm shift from serial to parallel that the field of computing is going through, and you don’t want to fall behind people who will graduate 1-2 years after you.
