The Fraunhofer Center Maryland (a Division of Fraunhofer USA, Inc.) is seeking qualified candidates to work part-time (up to 20 hours/week and full time during the summer ) as a Database Developer.
This Database Developer will be responsible for developing, populating, and maintaining a complex database for software-related metrics. Activities include working with staff to understand requirements and developing a database design, implementing the design, converting existing data from Excel spreadsheets, text files, and other sources, reviewing the data for accuracy, populating the database, updating the database as additional data becomes available, and maintaining the database. Some experience using Excel and creating Access databases is essential. Programming experience, experience with other databases, and experience with comprehensive software reporting, defect, change tracking, and lifecycle traceability tools such as IBM Rational ClearQuest would be helpful.
