CSC wants to invest in YOU. We are recruiting intelligent, outgoing, confident and skilled individuals who have recently earned a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Engineering, and/or other technical discipline. In this role, you have the responsibility for supporting the delivery of technical and business solutions within a project setting. You will develop foundation-level skill sets in computer programming, application testing, and project documentation.
As you advance in your career, you continue to gain experience in software design, application development tools and techniques, and testing strategies while developing expertise in computer programming and actively participating in delivery of technical and business solutions. You will be responsible for developing high-quality work products for our clients. In addition, you assume responsibility for testing business applications from a technical perspective to verify that all client requirements are incorporated in the design and it meets client expectations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or Engineering with a minimum
cumulative GPA 3.0 or above
2. Demonstrated ability in one or more of the following technologies:
a. Computer Programming: Microsoft .NET, C, C++, Java and related (J2EE, .NET, SOAP, Web
Services ) technologies
b. Application servers (BEA, IBM and Microsoft)
c. Object Oriented Design Concepts
d. Databases (Microsoft, Oracle)
3. Prior work or internship experience using technical skills
4. Be willing to travel, if necessary.
5. Be a team player
6. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Possess strong analytical skills
8. Work well under pressure

System Engineer Associate Professional Essential Job Functions: · Assists in the design and development of integrated solutions in accordance with, corporate standards and products. · Provides basic technical support to customers by handling systems-related issues; may provide on-call technical support telephonically and/or electronically. · Assists in the analysis and resolves basic program support deficiencies and conducts testing to enhance performance. · Works on projects as assigned; assists in supporting the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. · Implements and documents processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standard business practices. Assists in the implementation of training tools and documentation. · Provides basic technical consultation on current and proposed systems to other organizations and clients. · Performs routine repairs, maintenance and upgrades of existing systems using solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures.
