We are forwarded information about a scholarship program which includes complete funding for master’s program study at the soon to open King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) 50 miles north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Discovery Scholarships fully fund the senior year at UM and then fully fund master’s study. Candidates will be most competitive if there is campus endorsement; CS majors interested in applying should stop by the Undergraduate Education Office and inquire. KAUST will offer programs in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computational Earth Science and Engineering
- Applied Mathematics and Computer Science
- Biosciences and Bioengineering
The Discovery Scholarship is administered by Institute of International Education (i.e., “the Fulbright administrators.”) Valerie Woolston is coordinating for a campus workshop on April 9^th by Daniel Pattarini of IIE.
