LEET SPEEK (1337 5P33K) Starting today, once a week (Every Monday) there will be a post that will be a tip of the week column. Basically, we hope to give you advice that will be useful in some way. Many of the writers wish that they knew this information when they were in your shoes. They are here to save you time and anguish. Feel free to post a comment voicing your opinion or to add to the post.
It is entirely possible to find some CS related job for the summer after your freshman year. The thought “I don’t have enough experience” is entirely false. There are even different possibilities. You can do research with a professor, intern at a company, or simply find a programming or IT job. But using your knowledge that you have gained over the course of your freshman year is entirely possible! Some places to start looking are: Research groups, the Corporate Scholars program, the Spring Career Fair, and even this blog.
